THANKS FOR JOINING US. A TRAGIC STORY OUT OF EAST FALMOUTH WHERE A FOUR-YEAR-OLD BOY DROWNED IN A LOCAL CAMPGROUND OVER THE WEEKEND. FIRE OFFICIALS WERE CALLED TO THE CAPE COD RESORT SATURDAY. BYSTANDERS PULLED THE CHILD FROM THE POOL AND BEGAN CPR. HE WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL AND UNFORTUNATELY DIED. HIS NAME HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED. MASSACHUSETTS IS SENDING HELP TO SOME OF THE HARDEST HIT AREAS IN TEXAS. COAST GUARD CREWS FROM CAPE COD HAVE ALREADY MADE 14 RESCUES IN THE HOUSTON AREA. A LOCAL FEMA SEARCH TEAM LEFT LAST NIGHT. THE MAYOR OF HOUSTON THANKED THE MAYOR OF BOSTON. IT IS THE FIRST DAY OF CLASSES AT WORCHESTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS AFTER A POSSIBLE BUS DRIVER STRIKE WAS PUSHED BACK. BUSES WILL RUN ON A REGULAR SCHEDULE. DRIVERS ARE IN A CONTRACT DISPUTE WITH THE DURHAM BUS COMPANY. TEAMSTERS AGREED TO THE REQUEST FROM THE MAYOR TO HOLD OFF ANY ACTION FOR THREE DAYS. THE BUS COMPANY IN THE TEAMSTERS ARE EXPECTED TO MEET AGAIN TODAY TO CONTINUE THE BARGAINING PROCESS. LET’S GET A LOOK AT THE FORECAST. I FEELS LIKE YOU SHOULD BE IN SCHOOL WITH THE FALL FEELING IN THE AIR. TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 50s AND UPPER 50s — 40s IN THE MORNINGS. THIS AFTERNOON WE WILL BE IN THE LOW 70s WITH AN ONSHORE BREEZE KEEPING TEMPERATURES SLIGHTLY COOLER THAN INLAND WHERE IT WILL BE IN THE MID- 70s. A FEW CLOUDS OVERNIGHT, 53 DEGREES. MID-40s ACROSS SOME OF THE SONGBIRDS. — SUBURBS. TUESDAY WE FOCUS ON THE SOUTH WITH THE NEXT POTENTIAL FOR A TROPICAL STORM DEVELOPING. IT WILL BE OFF THE COAST OF THE CAROLINAS TUESDAY NIGHT PASSING JUST TO OUR SOUTH AND EAST. SOME OF THE RAIN COULD MAKE IT TOWARDS NANTUCKET, CAPE COD AND PERHAPS THE SOUTH SHORE. WE WILL WATCH THIS CLOSELY. BUT MOST OF THE FORECAST MODELS ARE KEEPING IT OUT TO SEE. HOWEVER, SOME OF THE WAVES WILL GET A LITTLE BIT HIGHER OFF THE COAST OF NANTUCKET, 10 TO 15 FEET WITH A RIP CURRENT RISK AS WELL WEDNESDAY MORNING. HERE’S YOUR SEVEN-DAY FORECAST.
