Scarlett Moffatt: ‘I’m living the dream’ I’m A Celebrity star in Extra Camp exit admission


 Scarlett Moffatt, 29, announced she would not be part of the I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp presenting line-up this year after co-hosting the show with Joe Swash and Joel Dommett since 2017 The former Gogglebox star explained her decision to leave the programme was due to her desire to focus on other projects  In a statement she shared with her two million Instagram followers back in July, Scarlett wrote: “The jungle absolutely changed my life and I am massively grateful to everybody who voted for me whilst in the jungle and for your constant support to date and everybody who tuned in to Extra Camp ” She added: “I have got a project that I’ve been working on (alongside my family) that I am very, very excited to announce soon   “And because of this unfortunately I will not be presenting this year’s Extra Camp but I will certainly be tuning in LONG LIVE THE JUNGLE ” Just after this year’s series of the reality show kicked off in Australia, Scarlett opened up about whether she is missing working on the ITV2 programme   READ MORE Carol Vorderman: Countdown star stunned by Dan Walker’s discovery  In an exclusive interview with Express co.uk, the Queen of the Jungle admitted she is “living the dream” by avoiding spending another festive season on the other side of the world  She divulged: “Well obviously I haven’t had a Christmas properly in three years so it’s really nice being home and being with the family and eating hot food   “I get to spend a lot of time with my boyfriend and wear oversized jumpers and watch Christmas adverts so I’m living the dream ”  The star went on to explain Christmas “isn’t the same” on the country’s sun drenched beaches     She continued: “You still see those inflatable Santas in Australia but it’s not the same when you’re on a beach ” Scarlett is also looking forward to having the time to shop for presents for her family and friends  She added: “Everyone’s getting actual presents this year and not vouchers because when you get back you’re a bit jet-lagged and everyone just got vouchers off me, so it’s nice they have things to open this year ” Scarlett then reflected on her time in the jungle as a contestant, in which she was crowned Queen of the Jungle, back in 2016   The TV personality revealed the toughest part of her stint on the show was being unable to contact or see her loved ones   She said: “People don’t realise how it can be. I used to watch it and see the celebrities crying and missing people after two days in and I was like, ‘You’ve only been in two days ’  “But you sort of go on lockdown a week before and you don’t get WiFi or your phone or anything so you can’t contact your family    “So it looks like you’ve only been in there for two days but really you haven’t spoken to your family for a week and a bit ” Trending READ MORE Debbie McGee: Kevin Clifton’s ‘absolute dream’ dance partner revealed  Scarlett also admitted taking part in the show was even more challenging than she expected it to be after watching it from the comfort of her sofa  “I think it’s tougher because you can’t smell the smells and see all the flies. It’s actually rank,” the star explained  Scarlett is currently taking part in The National Lottery’s 25th birthday celebrations and marked the occasion by helping them break the world record for the largest ever cream tea party back in October
